Ingredients

green beans,

onion and potatoes

bacon

heavy cream, milk

salt & pepper

Biscuits & Gravy:

Ingredients

1 pound breakfast sausage, hot or mild

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

3 cups of half and half (you can also use whole milk) 

Salt and pepper to taste

Biscuits, warmed, for serving

Directions

Cook and crumble the sausage over medium-high heat until no longer pink (drain if desired). Sprinkle flour on cooked meat and stir until the sausage soaks it all up.  Cook for 5 minutes on medium heat; stir occasionally.  Pour in half and half, stirring constantly.

Simmer gravy on low until it thickens (about 10 minutes).  Sprinkle in salt and pepper and stir well.  Let gravy sit for a few minutes until it thickens. If it gets too thick, add more half-and-half or milk to taste.  Serve over warm biscuits.
